Charlie Klingner
As co-owner of QED LAB, Charlie Klingner brings over 20 years of industry expertise to the precise work of FGIA/AAMA-certified window testing. His extensive knowledge of building envelope science informs both quality assurance and forensic testing regimens. Prior to taking over management of QED, Charlie worked as a forensic observer for a prominent Northwest forensic consulting firm. His duties included testing, observations, inspections, current condition assessments, EIFS/stucco investigations, remediation protocols, building science and thermography, mediation and litigation support, writing scope of repairs and technical reports. He oversaw the construction and remediation of building envelopes, including roofs, siding, rain screen systems, flashing, deck membranes, and window installations. Michael Poirier
As co-owner of QED LAB, Michael Poirier provides over 20 years of architectural and consulting aptitude with emphasis on exterior waterproofing, maintenance budgeting, and technical writing; translating the language barrier between the construction industry and everyday people. In addition, he has 3 years of building maintenance experience and a variety of volunteer construction projects all around the Northwest. Since 2013, he has been providing Level III Certified Whole Building Air Barrier Testing and has accomplished over 50 million square feet of tested air barrier. He has earned an accredited Reserve Specialist through CAI with a valid Reserve Study Specialist permit for the state of Nevada, proudly providing reserve studies for the entire west coast for 11 years. He also enjoys custom equipment fabrication utilized in the niche market of window testing.
Keri Klingner
As controller and principal of QED LAB, Keri Klingner is the backbone of our business, managing all accounting functions and overseeing the compliance details that keep our company and our FGIA / AAMA accreditation running smoothly. Her meticulous work ensures that our operations are efficient and compliant, and quite simply, QED wouldn’t function without her. Beyond her professional expertise, Keri has a deep commitment to our community. She organizes all of QED’s ongoing community support and QED sponsored events.
Jen Poirier
As Business Development Director of QED LAB, Jen Poirier plays a key role in driving new business, creating detailed proposals, and educating clients about how our services align with their project needs. She excels at helping clients understand how our scope of work fits seamlessly into their schedules, ensuring smooth project execution. Jen is hands-on and spends a significant portion of her week on job sites, where she often prepares buildings for air barrier testing and performs water testing. Her expertise takes her both across the U.S. and internationally, traveling alongside our teams to provide top-tier testing services wherever they’re needed.
