Our Community Involvement

Committed to Building Stronger Communities Together

At QED LAB, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us. We are actively involved in various charitable efforts, including regular donations to local food banks, which help provide essential support to families in need. Additionally, we proudly sponsor events like the MS Poker Tournament and the Lady Bug Run, both of which raise funds for important causes. Our commitment to community involvement extends beyond these events, as we continuously seek new ways to support and uplift those around us. Through these efforts, we aim to make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of our local communities.

QED LAB Annual Poker Tournament Benefiting The National Multiple Sclerosis Society

QED LAB proudly hosts an annual poker tournament, with 100% of the proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This event is deeply personal to us, as Charlie Klingner, our President, lost his mother to MS in 2014. Through this tournament, we honor her memory and spirit while supporting those who continue to battle this incurable disease. It’s a cause that is close to our hearts, and we are committed to helping fund research and provide assistance to those affected by MS.

Ladybug Run Sponsor

QED LAB is proud to support the Ladybug Run in Portland, Oregon, through charitable donations benefiting the CDH Foundation, which supports infants born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This cause is meaningful to us because, in 2017, our Vice President Michael Poirier had a nephew born with CDH. Since then, we have continued to show our support for the foundation and its efforts to raise awareness, provide resources, and fund critical research for families affected by this condition. We are honored to contribute to such an important cause.

East County Food Panty Donations

At QED LAB, giving is an action. Initially a seasonal donation during the holidays, we saw the need to do more to support the East County Food Pantry. QED collects food items ongoing and employees schedule the first Friday of each month to sort vegetables, stock shelves and fill food bags to help local families in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.

2021 QED LAB Motorcycle Rally

The 2021 QED LAB Motorcycle Rally was a 154-mile scenic ride through the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood territory. This event aimed to benefit the Community Partners for Affordable Housing of Oregon, with the goal of collecting 100 backpacks to support local students heading back to school for the 2021/2022 year. We are proud to have been apart of such a meaningful event that brought the biking community together for a great cause.

Portland YouthBuilders

QED LAB partnered with Walsh Construction and Scott Edwards Architecture on a renovation project with Portland YouthBuilders (PYB), a non-profit dedicated to supporting low-income youth. PYB offers education, vocational training, and leadership development services to over 200 young people who have not completed high school and face significant barriers to success. It was an incredible experience for QED to work alongside these aspiring builders and contribute to a project that empowers the next generation of leaders.
